It was during that time that he recognized a need among older adults and their families for better information and guidance when researching retirement communities. Brad’s extensive knowledge of the senior living industry, combined with his financial planning background, allows him to provide valuable insights about lifestyle, healthcare, and financial planning considerations related to this significant life decision. Brad holds a Certified Financial Planner™ certification and has been quoted in national media such as Kiplinger’s Magazine, Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch, USA Today and The New York Times. Brad is the author of What’s the Deal with Retirement Communities?, rated five stars overall on Amazon, and speaks regularly for retirement living providers, industry trade organizations, life-long learning classes, and other groups across the country. Ken Taylor
Co-Founder / EVP of Product Development
Ken is the guy behind the scenes at My LifeSite. A CPA, he is directly responsible for product development and financial management. Ken and his team built and maintain the My LifeSite database of community profiles. In addition, he is responsible for customer service and help desk operations. Prior to becoming a co-founder of My LifeSite he spent 25 years growing small and medium-size service companies in the restaurant and travel agency industries, working in the areas of acquisitions integration, project management, system integration, and financial accounting and reporting.

Bobby Martin
Investor / Business Advisor
Bobby was a co-founder and President of First Research. Established in 1999, Bobby built the business from the ground up into a highly successful provider of industry research information utilized by banks, CPA firms and law firms. In 2007, First Research was successfully sold to Dun & Bradstreet. Bobby is also the author of The Hockey Stick Principles - a book based on a research project to figure out how good ideas become successful firms. Today Bobby is an angel investor and serves as an active board member with innovative start-ups Vertical IQ, Local Eye Site, Boardroom Insiders, My LifeSite, and etailinsights. He speaks frequently about entrepreneurship at universities such as Georgetown MBA program; University of Colorado at Boulder; Appalachian State; UNC- Chapel Hill; Council for Entrepreneurial Development; and at corporate events. In 2006, he was a recipient of the Triangle Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” Award in Raleigh.

Trent Pierce
Investor / Business Advisor
Trent has over 25 years of experience in the health insurance business and is the owner and President of Carolina Benefits and Planning, a boutique insurance firm specializing in healthcare coverage and long-term care insurance for businesses and individuals. In addition to his insurance business, he is an experienced entrepreneur who owns multiple small businesses involved in car care and maintenance, and real estate.
